I’m so excited to share Bridget and John’s Boston wedding. There are so many things that I love about this wedding. First and foremost (of course) are Bridget, John and their incredibly fun and friendly friends and family. I first met Bridget along with her sister Amanda and bridesmaid Megan a few months before the big day to take some pre-wedding portraits of Bridget. Megan was kind enough to allow us to use her home for the photo-shoot, and Amanda was on hand to help Bridget with hair and make-up. I had such a blast photographing Bridget and spending the afternoon with these three fabulous ladies. Bridget is gorgeous and so photogenic, as you can see in her headshots below.
When the big day finally arrived I met up with all of the girls at the Westin Copley Place where they were getting ready (in the magnificent presidential suite). Bridget and all the ladies looked incredible, and I had such a fun time photographing their preparations. From there, we went onto the gorgeous Old South Church, which was packed with John and Bridget’s adoring friends and family. Bridget and John had their heart set on portraits on the steps of the Boston Public Library, which were packed due to a festival happening in the square, so they opted for portraits in front of the steps with all of the on-lookers in the background. From there we took them down to Comm Ave for more portraits on the mall and along the way.
Finally, Bridget and John’s reception was a blast. It began with Bridget’s cousin Joe singing their first dance song, and continued with an awesome dance party led by DJs Chris Serino & Antonio Sordillo from Next Level Entertainment. Bridget and John’s family and friends packed the dance floor all night and ended the festivities with John’s brothers leading the crowd in a family tradition, singing Billy Joel’s Piano Man. Bridget and John, you are a sweet and wonderful couple. It was a joy and an honor photographing your wedding day. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together.
Special thanks to my fabulous assistant Ashleigh of Ashleigh Stanczak photography for all of your help throughout the day!
